Thank you Alexander for this Sunday morning video glimpse of town Zierikzee. A very nice day to view history indeed.
I enjoyed seeing that very nice carriage team of Norwegian Fjord horses which is one of the (world) oldest breeds. Their mane are uniquely clipped in that roached Roman style. It is a light draft horse and very pleasant to ride. Sidekick dog, the white 'Spits' sitting next him. The carriage could be vintage. Perhaps next time you can say 'Hi' to the coachman when he's stopped to rest?
Hi Evelyne Leuthy, Yes. I'm a friend to horses of all kinds. I'm fascinated by how horses have been our closest allies in our historic past, up to todays' cultural developments. Sometimes addressed as 'A culture made off the backs of horses'. (And other animals, including humans).
Since we live now in an automobile culture, we have not gotten away from the fact that engines still have a certain amount of 'Horsepower' build in.
Somehow, living without horses is not in our current plans. The horses pushed aside today are now known as Pleasure horses, Sporting horses, and even still Working horses, and, not forgetting the feral ones . . . to enjoy a symbiotic relationship with (-:
Thank you for sharing this! Love the video in video with the original audio. That worked really well with the underlying video music. Such a great tour as well.
I just know that if or when I get a chance to visit I will take this video and try to find all those spots. With that many monuments it won't be easy ... I might end up sitting under some of those trees breathing in all the history instead.
It truly is a beautiful place and the houses are truly architectural treasures. Great to be able to wander and shop and then have a nice place to sit and have something to eat. Thanks for sharing the video?

Are you a horse expert? I think I remember you knowing a lot about the other breads mentioned in The Planet. Sorry, just curious.

PS. google:
symbiotic relationship between humans and horses?
Absolutely lovely! I’d never tire of this beautiful city either.
The deep history & wonderful architecture would always keep it interesting!
Seeing the dates on some of the buildings & how well preserved they still are is amazing.
This is a delightful video, thank you.
