Tom Boerman, a Dutchman, started last May to walk around the world; a trip like that will take many years to complete. We spoke about his fascinating journey, his motivation, and his experiences. In March, he will start his crossing of North America.
So many adventures, so many miles. Every quote is a testament to his character. His project in Nepal is further evidence of what an extraordinary human being Tom Boermans is. It will be a pleasure to watch his progress as he journeys around the world . . . walking!
I hope many will follow him on social media and support him as he continues his odyssey.
What a fantastic story. Alexander, I love your 8 points of interest from Kindness to Moonwalkers! I will certainly listen to the interview, then I will follow and support Tom. Thank you.
So many lessons here - I've been taking steps to reduce the amount of things I own by either giving them to people who need them or donating things to hospitals for children (games, my old laptop since I purchased a newer one, and things like books and clothes). I feel like my house is much more calm without so much clutter.
I can't get over people in Switzerland calling the police on Tom. So, very Swiss. I promise we're generally pretty nice. Unlikely to invite a perfect stranger into our homes though. I have apologized to Tom.
What an amazing journey he has planned. Fascinating to listen to him. Especially since I can relate to some of the things he mentioned that got him to a point where he knew he needed to make some major changes in his life. I do a bit of walking now and as he says being comfortable with yourself is key when you're walking alone. I can recommend it. Although, walking with a friend can be a nice change as well.
If you look for kindness and beauty, you'll find it. I love his outlook on life and will follow his onward journey on IG. Thank you for sharing this.
Alex, thank you for introducing Tom and his extraordinary adventure, actually itβs something much more than an adventure or pilgrimage. I agree that most people are kind and we have more in common than not.
Loving Tom Boerman! Thx so much for sharing him with us. I just donated a little something to keep him going
Thatβs amazing! I love this. Stories like his have a timeless quality to them.
Wonderful story and truly interesting individual!
