I have two favorite streets -- both in Arizona! Situated 11 miles from the border of Mexico, Main Street in the historical Copper Mining town of Bisbee is a food, art and history buffs dream. The infamous haunted Copper Queen Hotel is majestic. Reminding me of Greece, this now artists' colony is stunning.
Not to be outdone, Humphrey's Street in historic downtown Flagstaff or "Flag" as the natives say is an itinerary must. Breweries, coffee shops, restaurants, artists and iconic restored buildings such as Babbit's and Hotel Monte Vista. Flagstaff sits in the largest Ponderosa Pine Forest in the world and is home to Northern Arizona University, my alma mater.
Enjoy the World Affairs Conference in Boulder. The topics are aptly named. I especially like: Why are Grandma and Grandpa running the country? Ouch!
Nice ones! I love the old town of Flagstaff, a city I have visited often and where I would love to live for a while. I have my regular coffee place at Aspen Avenue. Bisbee is for my bucket list.
Thank you for this delightful tour of Pearl St in Boulder!
My favorite street is Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. Or at least, it will be once we turn it into a quiet boulevard instead of the eight lane, noisy, toxic, crash ravaged monstrocity it is now. Wish us luck ๐
I read this when I woke up and loved the storytelling. And you how happy you are to be back there again, seeing friends really shines through.
I've been thinking about what my favorite street was all morning. Had the perfect answer - only to come back here and see that your question is "What is your favorite Street in North America". Back to the drawing board.
In my defense, you can't put Gotland (i.e. Scandinavia) in my mind and then have me think "North America". My favorite street overall is Grรธnnegata in Tromsรธ (Storgata is not bad either, but Grรธnnegata has the library). I also have an answer for Paris or elsewhere in Europe ;-)
North America - I'm thinking somewhere in San Francisco or then Broadway in NYC. I'll get back to you on that.
Back to the World Affairs Conference in Boulder, the classic beloved American city. Happy to have you here! Enjoy visiting old and new friends, bringing new information to your newsletter and lending some โgood senseโ to the American people. ๐
๐ป The photos are beautiful! Thank you, Alexander.
I hope this counts as a street or road but it's near Boulder. My favorite one is Trail Ridge Road, the
highest road in the US at over 12000feet at some point in Rocky Mountain National Park , crossing the Continental Divide. (A hydro logical divide of the Americas.)

Thanks for mentioning "Why are Grandma and Granpa running the country" - I'd have missed that.

Enjoy the CWA!
I hope you can change it into a quiet boulevard. Still have to see it. My last time in Chicago was 1986!
You must visit!

Wow Tromsรธ, thatโs far away. For Paris: Rue de Bretagne, for NYC, somewhere in the Union Square area or a bit northwest from there.

I have already tried to drive it several times, but Iโm usually too early in the season and still find it closed. So itโs still on my bucket list!
๐ป You may not have to sit for to long on that bucket list. Spring season is going to be in April in the near future . . . โณ
