Thank you for the beautiful June 2020 flashback Alexnotes. A favorite is the Shetland pony. The ponies that taught me how to stay balanced bareback (-:
The depth of your observation level is inspiring, yet I am American, and typically lack the historical perspective you provide, although I do attempt to see it.
I love the American history too, but I agree that the historical perspective is hard to miss in Europe. Every step you take in any city is a walking in the footsteps of history, there is always so much to see and discover.
Alexnotes revisited! How I miss them, the wonderful sketches & always interesting texts. And sometimes finding a hidden message. Thank you for this delightful replay. Travel safely! 🕯
Loved that look back to a year ago through your Alexnotes. I remember especially liking the ones from Stockholm as I was meant to go there in spring 2020. Seems like a lifetime ago now.
Very exciting to read about Saint-Rémy-de-Provence among your notes, having visited several times myself; not to take away from Billie Holiday or your souvenirs from your home country. Your writing style is refreshing and exhilarating. You find a way to reminds us we are one with nature even as we anger, thirst or simply remain still in awe of its beauty. Safe travels.
Hi Caro, thank you. I do look forward to show more about my home country, especially my 'home island'. Nice that you also know the beautiful spot of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence!
Words fail me. Suffice it to say your work is extraordinary. I love all 10 of them, but #8 has stolen my heart. Just as when I heard her cry this out to mostly deaf ears. I only wish this could be the banner headline on my Twitter profile.
Thanks for the memories of your life in the past. Remember those posts especially the one of Billie Holiday. Seems we are still a long way from racial harmony. Perhaps with this new administration a way can be built. Enjoy your travels and stay safe.

Have a pleasant trip
Thank you, Marian, I hope to soon share pictures from the same Shetland ponies, there are some 150 of them roaming free in those dunes.

Absolutely... totally agree with you...
I really enjoy seeing your Alexnotes and sketches! Safe travels, Alexander.
Thank you Mike. Perhaps I might pick up this hobby again and make a few when I am in the Netherlands.

Thank you, Lizzie
Love this collection of sketches - through your eyes, filtered a little so others can glean the details at their own pace. :-)

Glad that you like them. Stockholm is a city made for alexnotes, such a beautiful preserved historic town.
