Writing or making video productions while walking “the Way of St James” is not always possible. So for today, I send you an “Alexnote”. This is a memory from the tiny village of Villiambistia. I passed it this morning, while walking from Belorado to Agès. It was a beautiful walk in good weather.
Seems really smart that you are starting early in the mornings. I am happy to see that the weather is nice, and presumably the air is clear now. Wishing the best with every step!

Love this journey, Alex. Brings up so many memories - the mystical Pyrenees, soldiers standing on the highways (Franco still lived.) I'll never forget riding into Burgos, so industrial after all the fields. Didn't walk the Camino but instead traveled on back of a motorcycle. Such a pleasure following you. Thanks for posting.

I know you walk a lot, & that many Americans do not. Did you do anything to prepare for this long walk? Are your feet holding out?
