Hi Alex, thank you for writing this newsletter. I was not aware of the carbon dioxide emissions being released by trawlers as equal to the amount released by airplanes. I have been against trawlers for a long time, but mainly for the fish themselves. Now, I have another reason to support alternative methods, such as pole caught fish. I have cut back on my fish intake, and switched to chia seeds and flax as vegetarian sources of omega 3. I think that if we all consider doing that, perhaps the fish will fare better.

As you rightly point out, the sea levels are worrying, especially for the smaller island countries. We need to think of people's lives first. I hope that we can shift our priorities.

Winter is a beautiful time of the year. I do not want to see it shrink even more. The bears and the people need that time to go inward and hibernate.

Wish you a happy day and a good run in the melting snow.
