I loved reading the progression and rationale behind the logo, so many people just make a pretty icon with little thought to typography or sense. I pass a sign most days for “Half Moon Interiors” their logo depicts a crescent moon.

Glad that you like it. Have you noticed the relationship between a 'crescent moon' and a 'croissant'? It is not a coincidence. When I lived in Vienna, I often passed the place where the Viennese stopped the Ottoman Turks during Vienna's siege. It was there that I learned the story of the croissant. After the Turkish defeat, a baker in Vienna created the croissant to celebrate this event. The idea was that anyone eating a croissant was biting the Ottoman emblem of the crescent moon. When Marie Antoinette left Austria for an unhappy future in France, she brought the croissant with her. The French prefer lighter cooking than the Austrian kitchen and perfected the croissant into the version as we know it today. Perhaps it is good that most have forgotten this story, but I do like croissants.

Oh goodness, what a wonderful story. I like croissants, too. Here in Melbourne, we have an almond croissant that it quite nice, though not as nice as the French ones.

Thank you for deciding to do these newsletters. The topics you cover are very relevant. The Word Cloud Generator had many words to ponder and, probably because it is a rainy day here, the word water stood out. Living on an island it’s never to be taken for granted. The words I did not see were population and resources. These affect our lives as well. Looking forward to your next piece.

The word cloud is an interesting synopsis of what you’ve covered in these few days but doesn’t begin to reveal the depth of your content. Of course it’s not meant to but you’ve brought so much to this project with an abundance of great writing. Today’s topic on guns in America is stark reality that sears the soul. Lobbyists should be outlawed. They do nothing to serve public interest, only the opposite. Enjoyed the video first time & again today. Thank you for all of it.

Very happy with the logo change! Whether you write two times a week or seven times a week, I will be around to enjoy and ponder. Hope you include “donut” economies in your talk.

It's a sunny morning here. Your Word Cloud generator is an inspiration to writing, food for thoughts, and to act on through sharing. I liked that you outlined your writing endeavors. I love you logo choice. I have watched Fireside Chat, the 'Waste Not, Want Not' initiative made me think deeply. And yes, Camina Harrison is an amazing lady. so far I have read all 12 Newsletters. Thank you!

Thanks for letting us be part of your creative process. I like that you just went for it. Love word clouds - I used them a lot in teaching to introduce topic. The three words that stuck out are people, water and planet. I enjoy reading about people's stories as they make the difficult topics more relatable and more "real". The importance of water is undeniable and I've learned a lot during the past 1.5 years about how vital healthy oceans are for all of us (coming from a landlocked country this was not something I'd spent enough time thinking about before). And then there's THE planet. I love the new logo and how you got there.

Thank you for this newsletter and inspiring me to have a closer look at certain topics.
