This was a very good podcast and is a very good article revisiting the discussion with the accomplished expert, Dr Rose Kaggwa of Kampala, Uganda. One of the recurring issues in this series is lack of sufficient funding for programs, improvements and infrastructure for basic needs for quality of life.

Dr Kaggwa’s perspective as a woman brings greater focus to the heavy responsibility women bear as they are the family caregivers. She stated sanitation is essential and views it as being “dignity for all”. The importance of that was striking as we all should have a right to live with the dignity that proper sanitation, hygiene and personal privacy provides. It drives home the importance of this series in a very realistic and personal way.

Again, thanks to you, Dr Kaggwa and UN-Habitat for this excellent series.

It seems like a lot of things would work better if more women were involved ... time to make this change happen!

So many socio-political aspects to consider for us to reach "dignity for all". One of the podcasts that highlighted to me how little I really know about sanitation outside of the western world. I got some catching up to do. Thank you for raising awareness.
