What a fun departure from your typical fare! Made me laugh! Not a world traveler like yourself, I will not have the opportunity to see the whimsical side of life in other parts of our world. Many thanks!
It's one of the main reasons why I do travel writing in the (long) summer periods; I know that many of my readers can't travel but love to follow my experiences from the comfort of their homes. Expect mostly travel writing until late September, by that time I will look at the situation in the world again, I fear that that won't be a pretty sight.
Thank you for this. Certainly brightened up my day. Was feeling a bit grumpy.
Can't think of any special ones we might have, although there might be local ones.
I remember once seeing one that was waiting when read, getting frustrated with waiting (there was a countdown clock), then getting ready to walk, walking slowly and then running when the green light phase was about to end. That was fun. Can not remember where.
Oh, and everybody should read about the history of the German Ampelmann - I certainly didn't know any of that. Fascinating. Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day.
Yes, nice! What is missing is the braille touch pad and speaker on the pole, that say when you can cross, and counts down with a beeper tone. Also says: 'Caution, oncoming traffic may not stop!!" And that announcement is for everybody who likes to cross . . . at the pedestrian crossing 🚦`
I love the animated (light walkers) and countdown seconds left for Jaywalkers (-:
I’m always amazed about what you can find in the internet, like the history of the design of the traffic light man
Interesting that different countries have their own ideas of expression, even on how traffic lights are displayed. Thoughtful interpretations.
I favor the running guy. ;)
Of course you’d take note. You always find beauty in even the small things.
I’m sure you didn’t stop traffic to take a photo though.
That's why I have only the green ones ;-)

Thank you Alexander (-:
It's on a crossing in Madrid that I realised that my legs had forgotten how to run after having walked more than 700 km
The Mainzelmännchen were my favorite 🙂
I yes, I loved those too!
These street signs are so varied and fun 😃
yes, I love it too
