I left the picturesque town of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port a month ago when I stepped over the triangular Camino marker in the pavement and through the old Spanish Gate early on June 29.
I enjoyed reading that very much. Thank you for sharing.
And you know that I have a soft spot for guitar players - great video.
Great choice of pictures to give us an impression of what it's like. I especially love the sheep. They must have many stories to tell.
Some of what you wrote about the inner self will stick around for a bit. Every journey is fascinating. An inner one might not be visibly but it's no less powerful. I'll take some time to reflect on that.
When listening/participating in one of your podcasts about 2 years ago, you spoke about individual responsibility to our planet, giving some of the same examples here. I naively said I felt "I get a pass" because of the charitable nature of my employment these past years. I understand I not only do not get a pass; I should raise my voice even more, experiencing at ground zero the deadly effects of the heat climate crisis in Az.
Our moral obligation is strong here. Whether a believer, a pilgrim, a walker or a citizen, a thousand invisible threads bind us together. A line from Ulysses ran through my head: "Though much is taken, much abides."
Listening to your charming video, I want to say, "I'm with the band", or with the singer and his companion. This dog is my spirit animal, just chilling and wise. And the singer's message of "Everything's going to be all right" is a hopeful message for us all. Because love abides. Thank you, Alex. Juntas caminamos
Such wealth... of culture, nature, history, architecture, world religions, spirituality, environmental impact. All appealing to the label humanist I give myself. Looking forward to more 🌻
You are indeed doing a lot of balancing but your selfie looks refreshed, invigorated, hopeful perhaps that the pilgrims and citizens of the Earth 🌍 can come together and find solutions for her problems and trade neglect for cherishing this gem of the Universe. We can do it together if we function globally. Enjoyed this immensely. ❤️🌍🎶🕊️😘
Deeply insightful and inspirational.
So many memories over these past weeks.
A beautiful video and thoughtful writing.
The addition of Swiss Re as a supporter of the aims for planet preservation is a welcome bonus.
The guitar player is another nice bonus.

Slow sips of time and smiles inside the soul.
