I like the postcard format. Some of your stories might have to be told after the trip. I totally get the "to busy to write". Sounds like you are packing a lot into your days. And those roads are proper mountain roads - not the *cuise control on for hours and hours* interstates. I've traveled along parts of the route along the Colorado and in the West - wonderful place to travel. Stunning nature. Looking forward to more pictures and stories.

What's the highest elevations you have ever been at? I just talked with some friends from Colorado on Zoom - they have a view of Pikes Peak from their bedroom. So I'm just wondering.

Thanks for taking us along on your trip.

Oh Colorado! How lovely you are there. I think it is a great time of year to be there --just at the end of winter when you can comfortably sit outside for a cup of coffee with snow piled high all around. I love that about CO and have camped in my rooftop tent at just this time of year. What a fantastic journey you are taking along the CO River (that may be in such trouble if we don’t change our ways)! Safe journey

Thank you, Alexander for the updates and photos. As you follow one of mother natures most pristine waters (-:

Living here in Colorado is pretty amazing and tripping along the Colorado River is life enhancing. Something I hope to do again on a horseback trekking adventure . . .

Thanks for this, Alexander. I have a Twitter friend in Fruita. Also, I have family in Glenwood Springs, which you must have gone through on your way to Fruita. My nephew in the Springs is descended from early Dutch settlers to Nieuw Amsterdam and 200 years, later from Freesians who ended up in Kansas, and I am as well of course. They stayed in the NY/NJ area for about 150 years but then pushed west, some into Colorado. One of our related families---the Bantas--is the namesake for the Banta Flats Reservoir, just north of where you are today. So, Dutch roots run deep. You should feel right at home.

Enjoying the virtual travel through Colorado. Wonder how the water 💦 levels will be as your journey goes South. After several years of severe drought, recent “atmospheric rivers” have caused flooding, mud slides, as the rain is so intense it doesn’t have time to go slowly into the water tables? This is some areas maybe not along the Colorado. Please correct me if my memory is a bit foggy. Enjoy your journey and keep we armchairs travelers posted!💦🌎🕊️
