This is one of Obamaβs best speeches. He is an engaging thoughtful orator. Wonderful to see the audience carefully listening and to hear the applause at his conclusion. Thank you!
Thank you, Dawna, every time I hear an Obama speech I believe it is one of his best, and I thought so again this time. It is also why I shared it. But there are so many good speeches, he is a very impressive speaker.
I was pretty much offline for a bit. I might have missed this if you hadn't shared it. Thank you for that.
As to your question ... I don't think I'm angry, I think I'm frustrated.
With myself for not doing enough - yet.
With the Swiss voters for not voting for change or not enough of us voting for change to go green. With our direct democracy, because that means that we get to vote on EVERYTHING and it's not the experts/scientists making or leading decisions.
With the state of the world in general where governments ignore what the entire scientific community and all the climate experts have said for decades and where people belief some guy on Facebook more than scientific facts.
Thank you for this article & including the full speech of former President Obama. His speech was excellent & the audience was fully engaged as though he was speaking directly to each of them. He was. His rousing, inspiring address supported & encouraged the fierce passions of these young activists who are boldly fighting for their futures.
It did mirror the content of your article just yesterday when you asked βwhere is the anger about the climate crisisβ. Mr Obama gave his blessing to the anger of these young people & told them how to channel it for the change needed to save the planet. May they succeed monumentally!
Obama: the best communicator I have witnessed in my life.
Yes, impressive communication skills indeed
