Another new favorite in the Camino Frances Tales!

A longtime dream realized through need following the restrictions of a pandemic and being in a country with extremely harsh winters. Just the motivation you needed to step outside your comfort zone into this grueling but rewarding adventure. So interesting to hear how your meditative plan was born.

The evening of singing and wine is delightful. I hope you have more wonderful evenings like it.

Thanks Rena, only now I see that I never responded to these reactions. I was just too busy walking and had only my iPhone. Clean shaven now, back on the island.

Nice to catch up with you. I was interested to hear how you embarked on this journey. I have found walking El Camino quite fascinating from the first time I read about it. It’s not something that I will do in this lifetime, but maybe next time around. If only I can take what I’ve learned this time with me! You seem to be a fast walker. I’ve wondered how you can walk all day & post pictures & talk about the scenery, eat, sleep, & rise early & do it all again! Take care of yourself, don’t push too hard. There are a lot of us traveling with you in spirit, since we don’t have the stamina or opportunity to walk with you.

I enjoyed your post of the storks. (A group of storks is called a mustering.) The noise they make is interesting, glad I had a chance to hear it.

Once again, thanks for the post. May the road rise up to meet you....

Thanks Jean, as you see: I got to my limits of what I could do in a day. Only now I see that I never replied. It has been an amazing experience. I hope to find time to write more.

Thank you for sharing some of your reasons for making the pilgrimage. (Similarly, I have planned to do this pilgrimage for years; only for me, it hasn't happened yet.) It's good to see out there, making the most of each segment of the journey. I appreciate how you explained that there's no one correct starting point or end, that it is an individualised path. For your path, it sounds like you are more than half way through... bravo! Buen camino!

Hi Alexander, I am glad that you missed comments, and hope that means you detached from media for a bit to be fully present with your pilgrimage. Thank youβ€”I aim to do the walk... someday, and not in summer! :)

This is so wonderful! Glad to hear the backstory. It is so good to take care of one’s health. Inspiration can come from all over, even while in a room on computer, as you say. Good luck and keep posting!

Thank you for sharing this background story. I love the fact that people can start wherever they want. Makes so much sense. Well done for going through with your plans despite the heatwave. And 7 kilos? No wonder you left you shaving gear behind.

You found another cat! Looks like they love the pilgrims, probably beg for food. And the storks, such amazing birds. I'd get lost in all those churches and forget about walking. I especially like that very small one you went into.

Take good care of yourself! And thank you for letting us be part of your journey. Be safe!

Alex, it was wonderful to learn the story behind your pilgrimage. Do you feel transformed by your journey so far…or do you feel the full impact won’t hit you until you return home? Stay healthy.

Hi Dawna, only now finding time to read and respond to last month's comments. I'm back home now. One way that I feel the impact is when lying in bed in the minutes before falling asleep; I am then back on the Camino, I can sleep on it for years.
