Loved this interview! Brimming with wisdom and common sense.

Among the many mindful highlights, one stands out. The Crying Indian was a moment that opened many eyes to how we are destroying precious nature. We fell for it. How could we not? A perfect example of how perfidious self interests redirect the conversation from facts to benefit their greed. It was a moment I became aware of the environmental dangers but Coke led us astray.

Many thanks to you and Michael E Mann. This was a great one!

Really like the Back Page and look forward to the hearing.

Thank you for your positive words. It is indeed the wisdom and common sense that I always find in the insights of Michael E. Mann. His book The New Climate War is really worth reading.

Excellent interview! I feel I will need to read it more than once to get the most out of it. A fresh, eye-opening perspective!

Thank you Louisa (well, that is: all thanks should go to Michael E. Mann). There is more than I could write out, so if you find time to listen to it, there is about twice as much content in the full interview.

Another podcast/interview where I learned a lot. I always have things to look up. I love that.

Thank you! Of course I now have not one, but TWO books to buy ;-)

I hope you will enjoy both. In short: one explains why we are programmed not to respond to the urgency and the other explains what the result of inaction will be. It makes both valuable reads.

Alex, thank you for this tremendous interview with Michael. When I watched Don’t Look Up, I wondered if the scientist was based upon one person or a few. Good to now know. This interview was also a excellent reminder to not immediately respond to any form of media advertising…or political polls, until the source and purpose is known.

Thank you Dawna, there are of course elements in the character that have nothing to do with one or several specific scientists, they are there just to make the story more entertaining. But there are also elements that are shared by many scientists, like the frustration of being ignored about the important conclusions of their research.
