Alex, what a great idea for the next 52 days of 2021. As I watched the surreal, horrific saga unfold on Jan 6, I heard the voice of an old friend in my mind. On 9/11 we spoke after he escape Manhattan on that unimaginable day, telling me how fortunate I was to be watching events unfold on a tv box, not smelling the air and running for my life as he had. Jan 6 changed us all even more as the terror was caused by domestic terrorists. Unforgivable. The loser (I donโt utter itโs name) unleashed demons we knew existed but were previously suppressed. Theyโre all traitors.
Itโs hard to think the end of the year is so close at hand. What a year it has been! For those in the US most will remember that horrible day in the first week that has continued unfolding for every following month. An event no one ever expected, seeing American citizens violently attack our own country & symbol of democracy! Worse yet, encouraged by one who called himself a sitting US President! Democracy has never been in greater peril in this country.
Your plan for these remaining weeks sounds excellent! Iโm sure there will be many that bring happier memories & I look forward to each. Splendid idea!
January 6 was a rough start for this year, and of this series. Not sure in what direction this will go but surely I will add lighter content, and much shorter than today.
I think I'm really gonna enjoy this - tough start though. I've been re-watching an online gig that happened on January 6th. I had just gotten some bad news myself. Very emotional time. Also January 4th is a triple birthday in my family with ages ranging from 5 to 98. Don't think I remember anything else.
I'm looking forward to your daily *week in a picture* posts. Great idea. and I do love that deer picture.

And I fear the story is not over yet...
I agree. Sorta feels we are in a calm (more or less!) before the storm. Something will set something off.
