I have no story tonight, but if you didn't have the time today to read yesterday's article about the most crucial battle fought in the Netherlands in the Second World War, you can find it here.
Today was a beautiful Sunday in Oslo; my weather app gave it ten points, so I spent much time outside. I want to share some photos I took during my afternoon run in Oslo. It was only the second time since I arrived here that I put on my running shoes. I ran for 45 minutes and stopped several times to take photos. While I justified these stops as necessary for sharing the beauty of this city with you, a small voice inside me was pleased to have an excuse for a breather.Â
I produce better photos if I take the time. These are quick iPhone snapshots during a run, but they give an impression of this city that most of you may never have visited. I recently wrote some first impressions of Oslo, which you can find here if you missed them.Â
I took most of these photos in Frogner Park, which includes the famous Vigeland Sculpture Park, with hundreds of sculptures created by artist Gustav Vigeland.
This is lovely!
Not only is a good planet hard to find, a day this perfect is also hard to find when we are living in a maelstrom of anxiety and fears each day.
You surely deserved this gorgeous break from that harsh reality.
Your photos are exquisite. Still lush greenery with touches of fall foretelling whatâs to come. đđ
Perfection indeed!
Spectacular views! How lovely for you! Happy Sunday đ
