I very much enjoyed both panels you spoke at today. Each had interesting and well prepared speakers who shared comprehensive information and ideas about the respective subjects. Of course, I especially enjoyed your contributions and very relevant comments and observations..

You comported yourself admirably!

CWA is always an appreciated event with excellent panelists.

Thank you.

Thanks for sharing, Alex. I listened to the panel on Green Cities. What struck me was the overriding theme of interconnectedness. This panel has lived in cities around the world and comes back to the idea of protection of the past is one of our greatest lessons. To truly reconnect with nature. To reconnect with each other. David Orr, from Arizona State University, made a poignant point I thought when he said his students were texting each other all through class yet were lonely. Their loneliness does not go away because of their devices.

I liked the combined wisdom of the panel and I believe it resonated with the audience. I think with age, comes wisdom, and this panel was wise to be more concerned about future generations and how to listen to their offerings because they surprise us every time with their truths. I attended a platica yesterday from La Cultura Cura in LA and the theme was generational trauma and the lessons learned. We were told to "Live life in a good way. Honor our ancestors. More blessings, less suffering."

I believe if we respect nature, honor our past and connect with each other, we have fulfilled some of what this august panel was saying: Nature is an amazing blessing. Well done Alex.

Loved all the panels I listened to today. Apart from yours there was one on Greenwashing - I'm gonna have to read Jevin West's book. Then there was Reshaping Education - as an educator I had to listen to that one. Looking forward to the panel David Orr is on tomorrow. He also mentioned a book. Also happy to see that Elizabeth Shackelford is back tomorrow. Should be interesting.

Then there's two panels on the Colorado river crisis. Hoping to catch up on those later in the day. All very very interesting. And I love learning new things.

Happy networking!

Great personal exchanges, Alex. I thoroughly enjoyed the two sessions today; I searched the speakers and found you knowing my time was limited. Your comparing and contrasting living in your home in the Netherlands, and the very many other sites about which you have knowledge in the USA and worldwide give a unique perspective of so many aspects of climate change that are painful at the individual, community, and state levels and yet you find hope in nature and living the experience of every day you are given. You live a balance of reality and hope many might find difficult to achieve. It is your gift to share and you do it so very well. Thank you for today; I will tune in again tomorrow to hear you live. That’s a rare opportunity and I look forward to it. 😊🌍🕊️

Hi Alex, good discussions. Thanks for sharing the link.

About How Climate Change Impacts National Security, I like what you said about we can all make a difference. I think at the end of the day, it was a good reminder that we are the voters and tax payers. When we refer to the military, for example, as being this killing machine that is using the most of fossil fuel energy, we should also remember that the military works for civilians. We, the citizens, decide who is the most fit to be in power and represent our values.

About green cities, have you ever watched Home? It’s a series on Apple. Sustainable homes built in a way that connects us more to nature. Just like the Ancient Greeks used to build. There’s also an episode on Amsterdam.
