Those who have not experienced the shock, disbelief, and fear that come with a diagnosis of cancer, especially totally unexpected, may not relate to the need for privacy. And dear Kate has to factor in three young children into that equation as well as the expectations of a “Royal” audience. Let us all wish her peace and success in her battle going forward; let us not underestimate the battle it is with the information available. Her position as the Princess in waiting to King Charles, fighting his battle with cancer unknown complicate matters further. May all blessings fall on Kate, William, and their very vulnerable children at this time. 🫅❤️🕊️🇬🇧
When such a shattering diagnosis occurs, it would turn anyone’s world upside down. But while this woman is trying to process everything the diagnosis means to her and her family, the world is watching every move, greedy for any word. When nothing satisfactory is forthcoming, rumors and speculation begin and increase to the point of becoming a parlor game guessing where she is, what she’s doing.
When the harassment doesn’t end, she bravely faces the world with her news. Now we know the trepidation she and her family have endured these difficult weeks. Let’s please leave her and her family alone while they cope with their new reality. I wish her a complete recovery with a happy outcome. Get well, Princess, we’re pulling for you! 🙏
After you are told you have cancer, the world that you knew changes forever. Treatment varies depending on the location of & the type of cancer. Chemo is tough, a challenge, something to be endured. She is young. Hopefully it was caught early & can be eliminated. She deserves her privacy in order to deal with this illness. Unfortunately, being the wife of the heir to the throne, she is not likely to get much privacy, which is a pity. I wish her the best & a speedy recovery. Every day is a blessing.
We must be outraged by this odious behavior of the curious, of those who want to make money with this sad announcement.
What courage and dignity of Princess Kate to speak without showing her distress and to ask the public and the press to preserve her peace and that of her family during this difficult ordeal.
No one is safe and when the disease appears, the earth opens up under your feet! Everything is turned upside down, including the future.
Empathy, respect, trust, loved ones are there for unfailing support in order to be strong enough for this period (which can be long) of fighting this terrible illness and the deep doubts it raises.
And morally, this support clearly helps with healing.
Yes !… in what world do we live now where everything seems permitted, without taking into account – and consciously – the moral repercussions of this harassment ?
