I admit, the climate news which I also knew and depresses me, I was skimming. But I noticed I had slowed down to enjoy the history lesson…only to have you call out so gently, and positively, our need for distraction and appreciation of why we keep at it!!! 😅🤣 Brilliant play Alex!

Haha you saw all the tricks I used to keep you reading and making you read the sad climate messages I hid into the text

Masterful storytelling, interwoven with the global crisis of greatest importance, our planet’s fragility.

The roguish Neuhoff could be compared with a ne’er do well who currently dominates US news.

Your technique in finding relief from planetary anxieties is essential as news worsens daily.

A delve into history, a walk communing with nature and the discovery of a simple flowering plant can bring needed respite as does immersing one’s self in creative writing. This piece does the same for your readers.

Thank you for the momentary distraction.

"If all of the Kings had their Queens on the throne, we would pop champagne and raise a toast." Such a fun/serious walk through history. I'm thinking maybe the women of that era, like today, should step up and be recognized as "waiting no more."

Your photo widget understands the assignment. Beautiful. I have the same thing on my new phone although someone named "Bixby" pops up with picture memories, collages & stylized photos. He (or you can pick she) is AI and frankly kind of scary and annoying. But I love the photos.

Mexican Astra has a species native to Arizona -- its flowers attract pollinators. Happy to know it is an immigrant to your country. Such a small world.

Once again Mother Nature triumphs in all her splendor. "To all of the Queens who are fighting alone, baby you're not dancing on your own." Let's all join in the dance. Gracias, Alex. Muy bueno.

I love those Ava Max lyrics, so right, so powerful. It’s the most poetic call for a revolution I know and an anthem for justice and equality. Those Mexican immigrants bring color and joy to our country, I wish they would blossom everywhere.

Love the way you find balance in chaos and retain your sanity and will to work when inspired to do so. The phone trick is marvelous. Think I love your own photography as the foremost of your talents although the essays are impeccable.

Oh, yes, something free on Patreon. Must check that out! Have a well earned happy day! 😘
