I'm afraid much of the world is sleepwalking. People watch the news. See the images and ask, "What the heck is going on?" I know. Many people know. I'm guessing many who asked the question probably know. Yet they voted for guy who will without a doubt make it worse.
I enjoyed the video, slow moving barge, the wake gently approaching. Soothing. Off to look at your soothing pictures π»
Yes, I increasingly notice they can't deal with this situation. The Guardian is doing a good job, but I struggle to mention a second one. This may explain Substack's success. I get much more of my news now from Substack. In the past, there was Twitter, but it followed the mainstream media more closely by reacting and commenting on it.
The Guardian is excellent and the only one I pay to subscribe to now. They have an editorial policy to always refer to the situation as the "climate crisis." I cancelled NYT, WSJ (not to mention WordPress) and moved all my subscription budget to Substack!

Enjoy. Again, there is the contrast: life is so beautiful here at the island.
The mainstream media is absolutely failing to do its job.

Wow that is such a good move Amanda. I wish more people would follow your example! π
Amanda, totally agree with your choices!
A break on the rest. Well done. Luna is perfect, as always.
She is. I skipped only weeks 17 and 18 to reenergize.
I have no βeye catching photographyβ that matches your gorgeous photos, Alex!
They are so lovely and each one is a gem, although in my private βcontestβ Luna wins first prize π
