Thank you for sharing those beautiful pictures. The cat pictures always make me smile.
And an Alexnote as well - old stone houses, can't get enough of those. Beautifully sketched. I love those small chapels as well. They must have some interesting stories to tell. My camino would probably be sitting in chapels and petting cats.
These purple flowers on this narrow trail makes me think of the Heide. I assume they are not the same. It must be nice to be able to run your hands over the walls of those very old brick houses along the street. The AlexNote image brings home old times still standing on the Camino. As we move on, we also getting fitter to face climate change. It will be a learning curve for all. Walk on and thank you for the photos and note β!
So many fascinating images youβve shared these past weeks, each a delight. Despite the magnificence and grandeur of the ornate Cathedrals that take my breath, the small, humble chapels, often sitting alone, trigger a special feeling of reverence.
The extreme heat is truly worrying. Please take all precautions and treat yourself kindly.
Despite your best efforts, I knew you couldnβt completely abandon climate change.
And you know how I love Alexnotes. This one is lovely. Thank you.
Challenging climbs, heatwaves and the Spanish Camino landscapes are inspiring you. Gratefully and gladly we receive your powerful energetic words and pictures. Good continuation, Alex.
Hello Alex, I think thereβs no escaping the reality of the worldwide climate crisis. Iβm glad you have other pilgrims to share the changing path and stories. Cute cat!
Maybe this is part of why you are on this journey. That said, please do take care, take care of your health, and stay hydrated! Itβs not worth getting overheated for the sake of climate science reporting. I know you will take care. I just feel the need to repeat it again!
I, for one, certainly donβt expect you to pretend that climate change doesnβt exist when it is so hot that you can only walk in the early morning hours. I read there is a heat wave sweeping across Europe, where the highs can reach up to 104Β°F (40Β°C) & above. I wish that those in charge, & those with the power to make constructive changes were walking alongside you. Then they might take our climate crisis more seriously. In spite of your challenges, you have once more given us a lovely post. I love your AlexNote.
I could see a grouping of AlexNotes, matted & with narrow black frames, to preserve your memories of this journey. Stay safe.

Well you would enjoy it here then. Both are available in abundance
Wow, you're walking during a heat wave?! I wasn't aware when I made the comment that I should buy iced tea. Your pictures looked like it was hot.
Please pay attention to your body and rest more often. We all love that you share this amazing adventure. But your health comes first.
All the pictures are lovely. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your adventure.
Hi Ginna, yes I walk as much as possible in the relatively cool hours of the morning

I think the purple ine is the same heather (heide) as we have in the Netherlands. It gives beautiful dots of color on the trail
