I love the turkey images 😂 The last one in the newsletter made me laugh out loud. In public :) The newsletter on compassion is one of my favorites. 🌻

Thank you, Rena. The turkeys look so American, they are really out of place in Zeeland. I don't know where they belong but I sometimes see them in the same area; they must have a home somewhere.

I love reading about the festival of washing of the feet of the horses in the sea!

Hi Mischa. I'm not sure if I'm on the island again in the right February/March season but if I'm here I will post about it again.

Oh, that is so nice to hear Gary. It's a tiring exercise to write every day for 52 days while my about-page says I will 'weekly' post on Substack.

Thank you. Tonight, I'll likely add some architecture since I was in Paris in week 11 (tonight my time that is)

How funny that you have turkeys, too!

It must be someone's hobby. Our European ones are less spectacular than this American type.

As an American, turkeys always make me think of our November holiday of Thanksgiving, which has been slower to commercialize than others. Gratitude has seen me through many hard times. Thank you also for the link back to the February post, and particularly to Anne Frank, I read her diary when I was around the age she started the diary, thirteen. I felt like her words would /should change the world. I had great faith in the UN and heroes included Dag Hammarskjold, Albert Schweitzer and Thor Heyerdahl ( and some baseball players and soon the Beatles). That's over 60 years ago and I have to think about where that faith is now.

Some day, I will post a photo of one of the Thor Heyerdahl rafts, which is in his museum in Olso. And I should mention about a small church I once visited in Liguria, in the small village where he lived, where some of the cultural artifacts he brought back hang on the walls.

I love this. beautiful images and good news, mostly. Hard to say why most others don't care about saving tigers and turkeys and houses. I wish we all cared. I would like to see your house in progress or finished!

I also wish we would care more for animals, and preserving nature.
