Another day on Elon Musk's Twitter, and another day I fear the social media platform will soon become unusable as a source of information and opinions. Today's news was the latest version of the billionaire's plan to introduce its verified service with various colored checks for people, businesses, and governments next Friday.
It’s been reassuring to see more corporations stop advertising daily. He’s unmoored, surrounded by sycophants and there will be a point when the money folks will be fed up. As I posted today on the bird: Truth matters. Justice matters. No man is immortal. No exceptions.
You won’t be surprised that I liked the back page photo a lot since it contained and they were beautifully disposed favorite colors, different garments and varied patterns... and Luna the cat deserves a rest after so much exercise!
But of course and besides, I read worrying infos about other huge companies in your newsletter. Merci .
No one was a more enthusiastic supporter of Twitter than I. But I always said I would stop posting when the reinstatement occurred, and I have.
I use my Hootsuite to see and like my “regulars.” Thankfully, many of them have also joined Mastodon, as I have. I will always find a way to enjoy and learn from them.
My reasons for leaving Twitter are more personal and have a lot to do with how to handle sociopaths and malignant narcissists. Add to that my credo of “memento mori,” and it was a no brainer. 😊
