Moments of bliss, they are. Words are not needed and stillness lays its head on our shoulder, lightening the weight of the world. The best way to walk on by Sunday, just looking at the bright side of life.
Some days are perfect and should be constantly repeated.
That is when a video helps. I fear the news will show lots of ugly scenes within 24 hours, from Kabul to New Orleans. Increasingly I find that I want to get away from the news for a bath in nature.
A beautiful moment of bliss & tranquility sorely needed on this day full of enormous trepidation. These wonderful ponies! Again, they are drawn to you as though they can sense a kind & caring friend. I think animals can do that.
Thank you for beginning my day on such an idyllic note. A far different remainder of the day awaits. I may need to revisit this several times today.
And the sweet hedgehog, what lovely lagniappe! Maybe the ponies told it about you!
I turned on YouTube to listen to some Sade and what pops up but your video π. It's much nicer watching them on a big TV and it's very relaxing βΊοΈ. Do you think you can make an 8-hour video to help me sleep? π
Thanks for that beautiful and peaceful video of the Shetland ponies. Truly it was a wonderful break from all the bad news we are having in the States today. They are such beautiful and calm creatures. That island is truly magical. Nice that you also got to see a hedgehog and share the photo. May your Sunday continue to be tranquil.
Glad you liked it. I saw it in the garden but when I came back with my camera 20 seconds later it was gone, I found it back behind the shack in the garden.
Alex, thank you for these few minutes of blissful beauty, very much welcome after this turbulent week in the world. I unfortunately feel this coming week will be worse. Essential to focus on the simple moments of calm and blessings where we can.
Thank you. I believe we shouldn't close our eyes to the world's turbulence, but it does help us to enjoy its beauty and remember what is at stake. For me, memories like this are so valuable at times when I need to think of other things. By making a short video like this I hope to share a little bit of that feeling with others.
There are not many people visiting and most of them know how to behave in nature, so I don't think people feed them. So I take it that they were just curious, and kind, so they decided to welcome me :-)
While driving through reservation land I saw four horses rarely in that wide open area. Usually theyβre further north on the edge of the Salt river. After two weeks of rain the August desert is brilliant green generally brown this time of year. Beautiful sight to see horses free and wild!
Yes. Iβve hiked at least 3/4 of the state once to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back out the north rim is fabulous fewer people. No tour busses The Ken Patrick trail is pure Zen

Haha, that would be something: binge-watching the ponies!
It would be lovely βΊοΈ
This made me laugh. Not a bad idea though.

The photo of the hedgehog was an added bonus! π

This is a lovely synchronicity, as I am currently watching a film made here in Australia called 'the silver brumby.'

Sunday morning here. π»
Love your feral Shetland pony immersion. Island splendor.
It's a way to experience our circadian rhythms. (And learn about them)
I wonder if Hedgehog buddy π¦ in your yard has met your cat π (-:
Dang, those extra lines :( tried 3x.
Luna is a house cat and not very street-wise or nature-wise. They would likely both hide for each other :-)
I second that!
That was truly a moment of bliss. Thank you!
And how wonderful that you have a hedgehog in your garden. They are such beautiful animals.
They are a rare find, just around sunset is the best time to see them.
The horses are so lovely! What a surprise when they came right up to you to be petted! Thanks for a brief respite to the stressful world news.

I think there is a lot of happy news ... it is just not in βThe Newsβ ... your post points to this!
They should make a news channel for just this kind of news. Breaking news: two ponies greet a man in the dunes. ;-)
Thank you for the tranquility. Have a wonderful Sunday.
You too, Jen!

Arizona is such a beautiful state to enjoy nature!
