Like a beautiful travel brochure beckoning visitors and pilgrims alike.

The photographs are stunning! The wildfires are devastating but at least you had this peaceful interlude in a lovely city.

How great the church you mention provides a hostel for pilgrims. Though I expect it’s not the one in the photos.

I look forward to the next stop and your wonderful photos and stories.

Go in safety and good spirit.

Love churches/cathedrals in Spain with their Spanish influence of scallops & Virgin Mary that has permeated into the deserts of Az through Padre Kino & Spanish Missions & Emissaries to Az.

A warm & comforting presence to perrigrino's saying all that wander are not lost.

Muchas gracias for the wonderful pictures Alex! Enjoy your journey.

Thanks Sharon, I saw churches, and especially bell towers, that suddenly reminded me of Arizona

So glad they remind you of Arizona. Spanish Missions in Az are a little like the Moors with Bell Towers. I am so drawn to the chapels & the light.

Lovely pictures and videos. You did well.

So sad and sorry that fires prevented your walk. I hope they are soon extinguished and that the heat lets up. Gorgeous shots though! Thank you for sharing. Keep well and healthy.

Unfortunately, a Wildfire is one of these hurdles we hardly hear about. It's one of those events that will stop people in their tracks, but nobody knows for how long. Perhaps there will be a detour soon to continue the Camino trail. I love your photos and journaling. 📜🎞🚶‍♂️ Thank you 🙏

The simple churches and grand cathedrals are wonderful refuges…for some reason I find them enveloping and comforting. Hope the smoke from the wildfires is not too intense for you. Lovely you can pause, write and leisurely explore this colorful historical town.

I smelled the fires later in Logroño but not in Pamplona

I am unable to write a comment on your latest posting where you arrived at Logroño, so am posting here. I find it sad to see the charred hillside as you travel by auto to your next stop. Climate change is real. The reluctance to address it & make the necessary changes by our country is criminal, and the USA is not alone in their refusal to address it. The powers that be seem to think some miracle will happen & it will reverse itself. They are wrong.

Indeed, and sadly, they are

Rather clear evidence that we cannot escape the climate crisis.

I fear you are right. One may debate long and hard on each individual case of a weather extreme, but it’s impossible to deny the worldwide trends. And what I experienced here fits perfectly within that trend

It is interesting that this is noted as a pilgrimage. Do you feel a spiritual inspiration to walk this path? What are you hoping to learn or glean from this journey? Your photos are beautiful. I’ll have to add this place to my list.

Thank you Bobbie. That requires a monger answer than I can give right now. I might do that later. Glad you like the pictures
