Do you remember last week’s article on the science-based advice to spend a minimum of two hours per week in nature? Perhaps you are too busy, and you won’t have the time. In that case, this video might help. It is two minutes of impressions of walking in a park in Ottawa.
Leave your busy schedule for a moment; there are always two minutes for a break. Just sit down, relax, and enjoy a bit of nature. Don’t expect David Attenborough's quality; these are just some iPhone shots.
Remember that there is always more to see if you make a small effort to look around you. Then, that muddy pool becomes the perfect mirror, the sound of a woodpecker tells you where to look, and a flower suddenly looks so much more radiant when the light falls in from the other side.
That’s all for this evening. I hope you will have a lovely start day after watching this video.

Thank you for the 'walk in the park' in Ottawa. Thinking 'Good morning' to Woodpecker and Squirrel from afar. Spring showing its bloom. A beautiful video capture of spring's efforts while listening to the critter chatter, invigorating. (-:
Lovely video (and well edited)! You had a nice visit with that pileated woodpecker. They used to be exceedingly rare before the scourge of industrial acid rain in Ontario. The acid caused the tops of maples to "die back" and made them vulnerable to insects. Woodpeckers came to the rescue and thrived on the increased food sources. The increased population in Ontario seems stable, no doubt due to other insects that have been introduced from Asia and Europe such as the Emerald Ash borer.
Adapt and prosper is a lesson they can teach us.
