Yesterday, I wrote about my dinosaur hunt in the Fruita area in West Colorado (if you missed it, click here). That afternoon I continued my journey along the Colorado River and drove via State Route 128 to Moab. It forms part of the Dinosaur Diamond Prehistoric Highway that I mentioned in yesterday's article.
It's a trip that guarantees stunning views. This scenic route follows the Colorado River, cutting through the magnificent red rock formations of the American Southwest and offering some of the most spectacular vistas you can imagine.
Route 128 starts in Cisco, Utah, and ends in Moab, covering about 44 miles. Along the way, you'll pass through canyons and see towering cliffs. The scenery is breathtaking, and every turn brings a new landscape to admire. As you drive along the Colorado River, the water winds through the canyon, with red rock formations rising on both sides. The river is a popular spot for rafting, kayaking, and fishing. Unfortunately, I didn't see any wildlife, but if you are lucky, you might even spot bighorn sheep or river otters.
