How Nature on My Island Adapts to the New Climate Conditions
Jogging in the sandy dunes of a changing island.
The day before leaving the Dutch island and returning to Ottawa, I ran 12 kilometers through its beautiful nature. It's not running anymore; let's call it a gentle jogging exercise, although parts of the route are more challenging since it goes uphill in soft sand. I don't aim to go fast or far, but I enjoy being outdoors in the island's dunes, forests, and wide sandy beaches.
