Alex, your conversation with the friendly man at the abbey was so wonderfully informative. Love hearing what he had told say about the history of the abbey, the archway (hope one day it can be restored to it’s original radiance)…the unique use & pattern of stones was awesome. Your encounter reminded me of the pleasures of walking and unexpected miracles.
