Adjacent to the Cathedral, Gaudi's Palacio stood tall, a remarkable sight outside Catalonia, where he created most of his works. With its medieval castle-like appearance, complete with battlements, turrets, and a moat, the palace would likely have inspired Walt Disney, but I haven't checked if he ever visited Astorga.
The following photo shows the diverse landscapes I encountered along the way. At times, the path stretched straight ahead, a simple and peaceful passage, while at other moments, it led me through lush forests where the shadows of the trees were a welcome protection against the blistering sun.
